Wing paddle - powerful paddling
The wing paddle gives you excellent grip and power through the water. The light weight makes paddling easier and reduces the strain on your body. Additionally, the paddle shaft has a slight flex which also helps reduce the load on wrists and shoulders.

This kayak paddle is a so-called wing paddle, referring to the cupped shape of the blades. The wing paddle is today the most popular model for fitness and competitive paddling thanks to the efficient paddle stroke it enables. Compared to a flat blade or Greenland paddle, the technique differs. The paddle is swept more horizontally and away from the kayak.

The idea behind the wing paddle is that the cupped blade offers a better grip and increases the use of our larger muscle groups, making paddling more efficient. With a regular flat blade paddle, the arms and shoulders do most of the work, whereas a wing paddle engages the core, hips and back to a greater extent, resulting in a more powerful and energy-efficient paddling style.

Adjustable length and angle
The paddle is 215 cm long and can be steplessly adjusted up to 225 cm. The angle can also be adjusted via the locking mechanism in the middle of the shaft, where you can also separate and extend the paddle.

The wing paddle has become one of the more popular models. As a beginner it is perfectly fine to start with a wing paddle and learn the technique. A tip is to watch videos or learn from someone who already uses a wing paddle.

Compared to, for example, a fibreglass kayak paddle or an aluminium kayak paddle, this carbon fibre paddle is more delicate. It is therefore best to handle it with care and preferably store it in a paddle bag when not in use.

Tip! - If you start to feel tired during a paddling trip, "shift down" by making the paddle a few centimetres shorter. Less leverage means a lighter paddle stroke.
