How to use a kayak cart
A kayak cart is very useful if you are alone or need to walk more than a few meters down to the water with the kayak from where it is stored, or from where you park the car. The cart can be easily folded up and packed into the kayak when you head off. Using the kayak cart is not difficult, but it is important to do it correctly so the kayak does not fall off. That is why we have put together a simple guide for you to refer to here.
Step 1: Place the kayak on the kayak cart
Place the kayak cart next to the kayak, with the support/kickstand in the direction you intend to walk with the kayak. Place the kayak on the cart just behind the center of the kayak, so that the cart sits approximately midway between the kayak's center and the stern. Make sure the kayak is centered on the cart.

Step 2: Fasten the strap
To secure the kayak on the kayak cart, wrap the strap around the legs where the wheels are attached -- this is important to prevent the kayak cart from folding up when you walk with the kayak. Wrap the strap around one leg as shown in the images below, then run the strap over the kayak and around the other leg. Thread the strap through the buckle and tighten. Tuck the excess strap under an elastic cord on the kayak, or under the strap itself.

Step 3: Walk away
Now that the kayak is secured on the cart, you can lift the kayak by the front handle and walk away. Be mindful of any obstacles on the ground, such as potholes, rocks, and roots, and try to avoid them as best you can for a smooth kayak walk.
Have a great paddle trip!
